A technical note: please bear with these photographs. The red thread against the sometimes slightly faded blue pillowcase simply does not photograph well—the colors wash out, or the lettering looks blurry. I think I’ve finally figured out a way to get a halfway decent photo each week, but my photography setup is quite primitive and I am dependent on the vagaries of the ambient light, so the quality certainly varies from week to week.
