India Tresselt is a fiber artist from the Champlain Valley in northwestern Vermont. Knitting, temari, and embroidery are her passions. The foundation of her work is a love of color, in all its brilliance and subtlety, as it moves through her fingers in yarn and thread, building the work stitch upon stitch.

A serious knitter for many years, she has worked in a yarn shop, taught knitting and temari making, and designed patterns for handknits. She is a member of Vermont Hand Crafters, Inc., the oldest and largest juried craft organization in the state. A member of the Board of Directors for several years, she currently serves as President of the Board of Vermont Hand Crafters. Her work may be found in Vermont at Frog Hollow Vermont Craft Gallery in Burlington and Grand Isle Artworks in Grand Isle, as well as online in the Yarndance webshop and on Etsy; and on Made on Monday and Instagram.

Her political and resistance artwork has been featured frequently in The Nation Magazine’s OppArt blog, and she is one of the featured artists in Not Normal: Art in the Time of Trump, a catalog compiled by curator Karen Guttfreund.
