Four years ago right now, I was in Washington, DC, visiting my son.
We had a great visit. I spent lots of times in museums, we ate some marvelous food, and I hoped very much to see the famous cherry blossoms.
But it was an unseasonably cold spring, and the blossoms were late; the trees didn't bloom until after I'd gone back home. So I made some cherry blossoms of my own instead.
