I have visited some very fine yarn shops. I worked for three years in a GREAT yarn shop. But for me, the mother of all yarn shops is WEBS in Northampton, MA. On our way through there this weekend, I stopped at WEBS, with a shopping list. I came home with a year's worth of Yarndance projects: two large wraps, a shawl, and four scarves. There is a lot of linen stitch, and a little lace, in my future...
Lots of Koigu, a little Madelinetosh Prairie laceweight, and some Cascade Kid Seta laceweight mohair. Mmmmmmmmm....
