Building triangles...
I took Saturday off, spending the day in town with my family, enjoying brunch with my boys and waving my sailors off for a jaunt on the lake.
That's them in the wooden sailing dory my husband built, sporting a tanbark sail.
Sunday I spent working on my current project, the epitome of slow stitch.
And day by day the first Flag of Resistance grows:
April 30 - June 11, 2017
April 30 - June 18, 2017. Star field completed, on to the stripes...
Star field, kaleidoscoped.
Thirty-six new small mandala temari, finished. On now to a new design for the next batch.
I ran this photo through my Kaleidacam app, and the results were so wonderful, I couldn't choose just one or two to post. So, instead, I'll post them all!
Ruthie's Blanket, free pattern
Today is the third anniversary of the loss of my niece's infant daughter, Ruthie. To honor and remember her, I share again these two posts, Remembering Ruthie and Ruthie's Blanket. The pattern for the blanket is available as a free pdf download, but if you choose to download the pattern, please consider making a donation to Empty Arms, an organization that helps families through this darkest of times, in Ruthie's name.
I'm happy to report that the blanket has found a new role and new life, snuggling Ruthie's sister Olive, who recently celebrated her first birthday.
A little video of the work in progress...
